Malena Quality Produce owns and operates Agricola San Isidro farming operation based in Culiacan, Sinaloa. Since 1953, Malena's Agricola San Isidro farm has grown different eggplant species of the highest quality, applying food safety, quality assurance and labor standards that exceed requirements of similar farms in the U.S., Mexico and elsewhere worldwide.

A recipient of the National Exports Excellence Award, Malena's Agricola San Isidro operation is consistently recognized as a model Mexico-based farm. More than 1,000 people attended the ceremony at the Yucatan Convention Center in Merida, where the President of Mexico distinguished the farm and its President, Mr. Eduardo Leyson, for leadership in ethical practices, diversification, differentiation and competitiveness of exported products in the agribusiness category.
For almost 50 years, Agricola San Isidro has placed food safety and quality assurance as a top priority; and now retains Scientific Certification Systems to provide training and certification services. SCS trains employees on Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) based food safety management principles and has certified Malena's eggplant as a Pesticide Residue Free™ product. The result is fresh and healthy, high quality produce that complies with the FDA and Canada's CFIA.
Malena Quality Produce has been growing and shipping produce from Mexico since 1953. The company is privately owned and maintains five modern packing plants in Northwest Mexico where growing conditions are ideal for winter vegetables.
